R&D VP- This former Ophthalmic R&D VP is currently open to new consulting roles or a permanent position. He has a strong materials background with expertise in IOL and Corneal Implant technologies as well as other surgical Ophthalmic areas. He has just finished up leading the R&D team (on a consulting basis) through initial proof of concept for an A-round start up and now ready for his next challenge. He is an out-of-the-box thinker, with an excellent understanding of quality and regulatory issues. A team player with exemplary communication skills, he is able to discuss issues and results with all stakeholders, from internal staff to customers and investors.

Lead Software Engineer- This expert Lead Software Engineer has a broad background, spanning from real-time embedded systems on microcontrollers, to embedded Linus running on specially-built computers for medical monitoring, to desktop applications, to enterprise level software on database-backed large web servers. He has extensive experience in a regulated environment, through all phases of development, and has been described as “a cut above other software engineers.” He works well in groups as well as in leadership roles, and is a passionate advocate for his projects.

Sr. Field Clinical Engineer- This Senior FCE is currently working at an implantable neuromodulation medical device company, and has held other FCE roles at other active electronic implantable device companies, as well as R&D roles with a major cardiac medical device maker. In his current clinical engineering role, he is responsible for clinical site strategy, clinical site identification and qualification, implant technique development, the design, develop, and performance of classroom and cadaver training of surgeons, and attendance of all implants.

Director of Sales- This high-impact Director of Sales has extensive cardiac valve and cardiac surgery experience with a large physician network. He is a hands-on player-coach who generates a substantial amount of the revenue for his current heart valve company, while simultaneously mentoring and developing internal and external staff and resources. His accomplishments include: growing his region from zero to $5M in revenue in the last 6 years; personally motivating over 50 cardiac surgeons to adopt his company’s valves; and achieving year-over-year record revenue growth by territory, region, and area. He has been at his current company for eight years, and is now open to exploring new challenges.

Field Clinical Engineer- This very strong FCE is currently working at one of the major cardiac rhythm management companies. He has risen through the R&D ranks and has now been in the field 3 years. He is currently supporting both implants and trials and works intensively in support of the one of the top cardiac hospitals in the U.S. He also holds dual B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from one of nation's top universities. He has very successfully married his strong technical background in pacemaker and defibrillator design, with clinical trial expertise, device implant experience in the OR, and excellent sales presence with physicians.

Director of R&D- This outstanding R&D Director has an exemplary record of accomplishment in leading the development of imaging and diagnostic-oriented medical devices for the last 10 years. In his current role, he is responsible for functional department infrastructure building, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and product definition, as well as team building and sustaining activities. He is well-liked and a respected technical resource, mentor, and leader within each organization in his career. He is currently defining a next generation Universal Platform to support all current, planned and future imaging and measurement modalities. He has a BS in electrical engineering and an MS in biomedical engineering, and is open to exploring new challenges in his career.

Sr. Research Scientist- This very talented Sr. Research Scientist has CRM and cardiovascular experience, and is currently at a major multi-$B medical device company and looking to explore opportunities in more streamlined and dynamic environments. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and has over ten years of Research experience has experience in conducting human clinical studies, GLP and pre-clinical studies. He has expertise in the areas of Neuromuscular physiology and anatomy, cardiac physiology and anatomy along with deep skills in signal processing and data analysis, biomedical instrumentation and modeling, circuit design, and advanced statistics. In the software area, he is expert in LabVIEW, MATLAB, Cadence OrCad, Visual Basic, C, and C++.

Sr. Clinical Research Associate- This outstanding Sr. CRA is currently working at a multi-$B medical device company and is interested in getting back to a smaller, more dynamic environment. She has outstanding monitoring experience on large-scale trials, and is very strong on the documentation side. She is very detail-oriented and conscientious – she excels at finding issues and following up and addressing them. Quality documentation is a huge strength of hers and she is also very good at training and collaborating with other team members. Her work ethic is strong and she’s a motivated self-starter.

Director of R&D- This highly-regarded Director of R&D has deep experience in the Endoscopy and Arthroscopy areas at multi $B Medical Device companies. He has a strong record of growing revenues and consistently meeting engineering milestones and deliverables. Most recently he launched 4 new products, including a new platform access and resection system, that are expected to result in a revenue increase of 15% for this business in 2010. Additional accomplishments include growing revenues of an internal business unit by 49%, as well as reducing product development costs by leading global outsourcing effort. He is someone who thrives on challenges and is looking for an opportunity that will allow him to push his skill sets even further.

R&D Director- This strong R&D Director has a proven track record in both implantable neurostimulation and external cardiology products, and deep experience in start-up environments as well as larger companies. His experiences include: managing the development of 4 generations of implantable systems in only 3.5 years; being the sole designer for the electrical and software development of a hospital heart rate and respiration monitor; and leading the development of a top-selling apnea monitor.

Chief Medical Officer / VP Clinical & Regulatory Affairs- This impressive candidate’s extensive medical device experience is in internal and external neuromodulation devices. Utilizing his background in neuro-rehabilitation medicine, he oversees and directs all clinical activities in his current role, including both premarket and post-market clinical study design and implementation, company interpretation and communication of relevant medical information, in addition to overseeing US and OUS regulatory activities, submissions, and agency meetings and negotiations.

Engineering Manager- A very strong engineering manager with deep engineering credentials and product success in the MEMs / RF / and Wireless areas, our candidate has been a founding member of an implantable wireless sensor medical device company focused on cardiac heart failure issues for the last seven years and is ready for his next challenge. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis on stimulation of neural tissue. He's a very bright individual with strong and rare skills in the implantable cardiac and neurostimulation areas.

Program Manager- This exceptional Program Manager has deep expertise in the neuro, imaging, and implantables medical device space. He has over 17 years of commercializing medical devices, including over 10 years of experience managing, coaching, and mentoring. He demonstrates exceptional coordination of the product development process, a great sense of humor, while still being deadline driven. Manager of Clinical Affairs- This outstanding Manager of Clinical Affairs has a background working on major clinical projects with active electronic implantable devices for multi-$B medical device companies. This candidate’s clinical study experience spans the life-cycle of a clinical study, and ranges from pilot studies of a few tens of patients to large registries enrolling a few thousand patients internationally. His experience includes trial conception and initiation, trial design, execution, and management, as well as publication and presentation of the trial results. He holds BS and MS degrees in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering.

Sales Manager- Our candidate has been a star sales performer and team leader in the cardiology, radiology, and endovascular medical device spaces for the last 15 years. He has demonstrated a strong drive to exceed his sales targets and developed long lasting relationships with clients and physicians. He has a very strong Rolodex of cardiac surgeons, EP’s, and hospital leadership in the Southeastern U.S. Open to managerial sales roles that allow him to flex both his strong hands-on sales skills and leadership acumen, this outstanding candidate is currently at a major multi-$B medical device company.

Director of Clinical Affairs- This exceptional candidate has 20 years of medical device experience, with 10 years in the ophthalmology space. He is the inventor of an ophthalmic laser currently in commercial use, has managed multiple Phase I – III and post-market clinical trials, has established strong relationships with key opinion leaders in the ophthalmology markets, and designs clinical studies with an eye on achieving regulatory and commercial success. This Director of Clinical Affairs possesses a strong commercial mindset backed by a MS in Biomedical Engineering and an MBA.

Senior Systems Engineer- Our candidate is a top-notch Senior Systems Engineer working in the implantable cardiac medical device area. Currently with a major multi-$B medical device company, he is the key technical lead within the company’s systems engineering group, focusing on implantable pacemaker and cardioverter-defibrillator product development. He has also led the development of a “virtual ICD” model to predict new arrhythmia detection, as well as developed an innovative methodology to utilize bench testing and simulations as a surrogate for prospective clinical evidence to support worldwide regulatory approval for a new ICD device. This outstanding candidate possesses seven years experience in the systems area post his PhD in Biomedical Engineering.
